Ontario, Canada, May 8, 2026 — Pattern Agentix, a pioneer in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for scientific advancement, is proud to announce the filing of three provisional patents establishing a new computational foundation for the discovery of covalent inhibitor drugs. Together, the filings cover a target-adaptive discovery pipeline, the underlying self-improving machine-learning methods, and a broad set of forward-looking implementations applicable to oncology, antivirals, antibiotics, and targeted protein degradation.
The Patents Filed Include:
This platform patent discloses a fully automated, target-adaptive pipeline for designing covalent inhibitors against any protein target with a reactive nucleophilic residue. A novel Target Definition Module allows the pipeline to be reconfigured for a new target — such as BTK, EGFR, KRAS, or SARS-CoV-2 Mpro — without modification to its underlying stages. At its core is a dual-detection geometry validation engine that ensures candidate molecules satisfy chemically feasible covalent attack geometry, a capability absent from existing virtual screening systems.
This AI/ML methods patent covers the self-improving learning architecture that powers the platform. Unlike prior single-reward reinforcement learning approaches, the invention applies differentiated training weights based on the computational filters each candidate has passed, augmented by stereoisomer enumeration of validated hits. The method is architecture-agnostic and applies to LSTM, transformer, graph neural network, and diffusion-based generators.
This continuation-in-part patent discloses forward-looking extensions to the parent platform, including large language model integration, covalent PROTAC and molecular glue design, allosteric covalent targeting, cloud platform-as-a-service deployment, federated learning across institutions, quantum-mechanical rescoring, closed-loop experimental feedback, and multi-target polypharmacology design.
Pattern Agentix is committed to advancing the role of AI across the scientific and pharmaceutical landscape. These filings underscore the company’s dedication to solving the most computationally difficult problems in drug discovery and making rigorous, AI-native discovery accessible to research teams worldwide.
Implications for Industry and Research
The filed patents position Pattern Agentix as a leader in applying generative AI and structure-based modeling to therapeutic domains historically constrained by the complexity of covalent chemistry. The company anticipates driving advancements in:
